Scavolini Store Detroit was a pipe dream when partners Niki Serras and Alisha Serras first set their sights on owning a kitchen and bath design studio. Opening in September 2010, in the middle of the economic downturn, it was a little faith and a lot of determination that got them through their first year in business.

Nearly 15 years later, the duo opened three more stores: Scavolini Store Chicago, located on the first floor of the Merchandise Mart, in 2014, the Scavolini Store Boston in August 2016, and their most recent store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Each store has its own personality, reflecting the geographic location and cultural identity of the area.

Today, the team has grown to 12 designers and 10 installers who work in tandem to create dream homes for their clients. The designers are regarded as the top in their industry and execute projects throughout the United States. The owners regularly travel to Italy and abroad for continued inspiration and to stay current and innovative in the latest design trends.

  • Founder

Niki Serras is the Owner of Scavolini Store Boston, Chicago and Detroit. In business for 15 years, Serras has overseen the design and execution of hundreds of projects. After being introduced to the brand Scavolini in 2008 by sister and now business partner, Alisha Serras, Niki quit her job at the University of Michigan and the two joined forces to create and develop the company that exists today.

Scavolini Store Detroit opened in Michigan in 2010, due to their success the partners were offered the bid for a location in Chicago. In January 2013, they opened their second showroom in the Merchandise Mart, the premier location for luxury home furnishings in America.

In September of 2016 they opened their third location in the Boston Design Center, the leading location for design in New England. The newest adventure for the Serras sisters is opening their fourth and largest showroom at 5,420 sq ft. in Fort Lauderdale at the Design Centers of the Americas. This showroom is slated to open in Fall 2024.
